Twitter is about to introduce a new feature called conversations or threads or threaded tweets or whatever. I’ll stick to conversations for the name and share a little secret with you. This is actually an old feature, already in use at search.twitter.com, silently appearing on twitter.com every now and then. The URL is structured in such a way for enabling conversations and easily expose who is replying to whom. If you need even more evidence read this. Recently, twitter uploaded a new CSS which line breaks at the end of each tweet. Now, the time stamp and the client’s name appear in a separate line with extra room for more (conversation) links.
Part of the new CSS and new functionality coming soon is a huge More button at the bottom of the page. Loaded with AJAX magi, the More button replaces the Older link for page navigation and gives you a ton of tweets in the same screen, which you can easily reply to using conversations without going back and forth the pages. Right? Right!
