To ghost ride, frequently used in the context of “ghost riding the whip” (a “whip” being a vehicle) or simply ghostin’, is when the driver and/or passengers of a vehicle exit while it is still rolling and dance beside it or on the hood or roof.

This has got to be one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen. I saw videos of this at work a couple of months ago and it’s ridiculous how so many people have taped themselves attempting to “ghost ride the whip”. However, I admit that I would be on the floor laughing if I was filming one of my buddies trying it. This is one of those bizarre popular cultural things that someone is going to look back on in 50 years and stand speechless by the ridiculouslness of it all.
